As an Accredited Member of BACP with a degree and having worked with many people from all different types of backgrounds, including ex-military personnel and their families. I have witnessed them to find new hope and positive change. With ex-military personnel and emergency services personnel guiding their transition from military and an institutional way of being to civilian life, through the counselling process. Offering a confidential, non-judgmental, respectful, secure and professional service, where a person can explore the issues that matter to them within their lives.
In my counselling service, I aim to give you an opportunity to think and talk about what is going on for you. To understand more about why you are feeling as you do, and to support you find your own coping mechanisms and coping strategies in the situation that you face. Whether this is in your current situation or from past memories and experiences, enhancing your perspectives, empathy, own self-awareness and perhaps self-worth.

Areas of work
Trained in Integrative Counselling, which means that I draw from a range of approaches to provide the right support for each person which includes- Psychodynamic, Humanistic and CBT. The number of sessions required will vary from person to person, offering both short term therapy, which is up to eight sessions and more long term or open-ended counselling if it is required. In my experience the importance of reviewing regularly with each person as to how the counselling is going is an essential part of the process.
